After the decline posted in December, EU commercial vehicle market opened the new year with an encouraging +7.9%, supported by all segments, totaling 187,811 units overall.
Italy led the growth with double digit figures (+15.5%), followed by Spain (+15.2%), Germany (+9.2%) and France (+6.2%). Only exception was UK, where registrations fell by 5.8% in January 2018.
All across Europe, light commercial vehicles posted growth (+7.8%), as well as heavy trucks and trucks (respectively +8.9% and +8.6%) and also bus and coach segment expanded (+7.1%).
Looking at the Italian market, 16,732 vehicles were registered, more than 2 thousand over the first month of 2017.
