In February 2020, commercial vehicle registrations kept declining (-6.2%), totaling 154,889 units sold in Europe, over 10 thousand less compared to February 2019.
Looking at the major markets, only France posted growth (+1.6%), while all others contracted: Germany -7.6%; Spain -5.9%; Italy -4.0% (with 16,615 registrations, nearly 700 less than one year ago).
Except for Bus & Coach (+3.1%), all other segments dropped, following the performance of January. LCV sales declined by 4.0%, while Heavy Trucks and Trucks lost respectively 19.3% and 18.2% (as a consequence of the bad results posted by Germany and France).
Two months into the year, demand for new commercial vehicles in the EU declined by 8.9%, with 308,350 units overall, about 20 thousand less than in the same period last year. From January to February, all main national markets posted negative numbers: Italy -3.5% (with 32,349 vehicles registered, almost 1,200 less compared to the first two months of 2019); France -3.6%; Germany -7.6%; Spain -12.8%.
