Commercial vehicle registrations in EU: -15.7% in February, -13.5% in two months

European commercial vehicle market decreased by 15.7% in February, with 131,874 units overall, recording a negative result for the eighth consecutive month.

Demand went down in all four biggest markets: Spain -23.3%; France -21.4%; Germany -8.1%; Italy -4.8% (with 17,420 vehicles registered, 880 less than in February 2021).

Except for Heavy Trucks (+0.4%), all segments posted declines: LCV -18.2%; Bus & Coach -12.9%; Trucks -1.5%.

Two months into the year, commercial vehicle registrations contracted by 13.5%, totaling 257,127 units all across Europe. Among the main national markets, Spain showed the worst result (-21.9%), followed by France (-19.3%), Germany (-5.8%) and Italy (-2.8%, with 31,784 registrations, about 900 less than in the same period last year).
