Commercial vehicle registrations in the EU: -0.6% in November, -15.5% in eleven months

European commercial vehicle registrations posted -0.6% in November, marking the seventeenth consecutive month of decline and totaling 141,903 units sold overall.

Among the four biggest markets, Germany recorded double digit growth (+14.0%), while Spain only increased by 0.9%. On the other hand, Italy fell by 13.7% (with 15,256 registrations, about 2.4 thousand less than in November 2021), followed by the negative result of France (-7.0%).
Heavy truck sales went up significantly (+21.1%), as well as Truck sales (+19.4%), while LCV and Bus & Coach segments both slowed down (respectively -4.5% and -11.5%).

Eleven months into the year, demand for new commercial vehicles in Europe contracted by 15.5%, with 1,458,409 vehicles sold. From January to November 2022, all major markets fell with double digit numbers: Spain -19.2%; France -18.1%; Germany -12.8%; Italy -10.7% (with 172,035 registrations, about 20.5 thousand less compared to the same period last year).
