Commercial vehicle registrations in the EU: +2.5% in November, +3.9% in eleven months

Demand for new commercial vehicles in the EU increased by 2.5% in November, totaling 210,554 units sold, mostly thanks to the good performance posted by both LCV and heavy truck segments. Looking at the main national markets, Spain led the growth (+15.3%), followed by France (+9.2%), Germany (+6.1%), while UK fell sharply (-11.8%) along with Italy (-10.0%, with 22,719 units, about 2.5 thousand less compared to November 2016).

During the last month, both light commercial vehicle and heavy truck registrations posted positive numbers (respectively +3.3% and +2.2%), while truck segment recorded no significant change. On the other hand, bus and coach market contracted for the third month in a row (-8.8%), as a consequence of the decline of UK and Italy.

Spain so far performed the best (+15.1%), followed by France (+7.8%) and Germany (+3.6%).
