Commercial vehicle registrations in the Eu: +6.6% in October, +11.6% over ten months

In October European commercial vehicle market kept growing for the tenth consecutive month, reaching +6.6% and totaling 189,092 units, with significant results in all segments. Spain once again posted the highest percentage (+22.9%) followed by Italy (+7.6%, with 13,653 new registrations, one thousand more than in October 2014), Germany (+6.7%) and France (+3.9%), while UK registered a slight decline (-3.0%).

With 150.984 new registrations, light commercial vehicles marked the 25th consecutive month of growth (+7.3%), pushed by all major European markets. Bus and coach registrations increased by 15.9%, with double digit growth in Spain, France and UK. Positive signals also from heavy trucks (+5.5%) and trucks (+3.0%) both supported by France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

From January to October 2015 demand for new commercial vehicles reached +11.6%, totaling 1,706,662 units sold (177 thousand more compared with the same period last year). All main national markets posted growth: Spain (+36.5%), UK (+16.6%), Italy (+9.8%, with 119,215 new registrations), Germany (+2.7%), France (+2.1%).
