Positive news from commercial vehicle market in the EU: the new year starts with an encouraging +6.2%, with 199,853 units sold overall, abut 11.7 thousand more compared to January 2018. Germany led the growth (+15.8%), followed by UK (+9.7%), France (+8.4%) and Spain (+8.3%). Only exception was Italy (-1.3%, with 16,435 registrations, about 200 less than in the first month of 2018).
Growth was mainly supported by light commercial vehicle segment (+6.1%), pushed by the strong results recorded by Germany, France, UK and Spain. Both trucks and heavy trucks increased (respectively +7.1% and +7.4%) as well as bus and coach segment (+6.1%).
