Totaling 1,170,220 units sold in the EU, passenger car registrations increased in January 2017, posting a significant +10.2% over the same month last year and marking a definitely encouraging opening of the new year.
Except for the UK, which showed a modest though positive performance (+2.9%), all main national markets posted double digit numbers. Spain led the growth (+10.7%), followed by France (+10.6%), Germany (+10.5%) and Italy (+10.1%, with 171,556 registrations, 17.5 thousand more than in January 2016).
