Passenger car registrations in the EU: +5.8% in November, +7.1% over eleven months

After the slowdown posted in the previous month, European passenger car market increased by 5.8% in November, totaling 1,148,618 units. All main national markets supported the overall expansion: Spain led the growth with double digit numbers (+13.5%), followed by France (+8.5%) and Italy (+8.2%, with 145,835 registrations, 11 thousand more than in November 2015), while UK and Germany posted lower results (respectively +2.9% and +1.5%).

From January to November 2016, 13.5 million cars were registered (13,497,541), posting and encouraging +7.1% with positive results from all major European markets. In eleven months Italy showed the best performance (+16.5%, with 1,699,944 units sold, around 240 thousand over the same period last year) followed by Spain (+11.1%), France (+5.0%), Germany (+4.6%) and UK (+2.5%).
